If you've got questions, we've got answers
We’ve gathered answers to our most common questions – so you can feel informed, comfortable and ready to begin. But if you don't see the answer to your question, please get in touch – we'd love to hear from you.
Absolutely. Many of our clients start with no prior Pilates experience, and we’re here to guide you every step of the way.
We’ll help you choose the most suitable class – or suggest an introductory session – so you can learn the foundations at a steady, comfortable pace and feel confident from the start.
Comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely is ideal. We recommend fitted but flexible layers, so your instructor can see your alignment and support you effectively.
Grip socks are required for reformer and barre sessions, and jewellery should be kept to a minimum. If you’re unsure, choose something you feel relaxed and confident in – comfort always comes first.
No, we'll provide you with everything you need. Just bring along a water bottle.
If you’re new to Reformer, we ask you to attend one of our regular workshops or book a one-to-one or one-to-two session before joining a group class. This allows you to become familiar with the equipment and build confidence at a comfortable pace.
Even with previous experience, an introductory session can be helpful, as teaching styles can vary.
Pilates is designed to improve strength, mobility and overall body awareness. While some people may notice changes in tone and body composition, it is not primarily a weight-loss programme.
Our focus is on building strength, improving posture and helping you move well – benefits that often support long-term wellbeing far beyond the number on the scales.
Pilates is often recommended as part of injury rehabilitation, as it focuses on controlled movement, strength and alignment. Many of our clients come to us to rebuild confidence and stability following injury.
We work carefully and progressively, and will adapt exercises to suit your needs. If you are currently under medical care, we recommend seeking guidance from your GP or physiotherapist before starting, so we can support your recovery safely and effectively.
Mat Pilates and Barre are £60 per six-week term. Reformer Pilates is £90 per six-week term.
